Our new President - Patrick Kurz will be presenting: Spatial Support in MS SQL Server 2008!
How and when to leverage the spatial capabilities of SQL SERVER 2008, even if you're not a GIS geek! We'll see how it's possible to integrate location awareness into just about any type of application. What could be more compelling than allowing a user to interact with information that is relevant to locations that they care about, like home, work, school or vacation destinations?
* When and how to use 2 new data types: Geography and Geometry Data Types
* When and how to use the new spatial indexes
* How to use the Spatial Results tab to view spatial query results in graphical form straight from within Management Studio
 Speaker: Patrick Kurz is an engineer at Navico currently working on a new line of GPS based comsumer devices. He's also recently become the president of the Tulsa SQL Group, though he swears it wasn't in an attempt to take over all the meeting presentations.
