Meeting Content Suggestions or Requests

Hey all,

I want to get the group involved more with what types of presentations and content they would like to see at our meetings.

If you have any special requests, suggestions or requests, let us know!

I have an Introduction to Programming Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) (.NET 3.0) if you guys would be interested in seeing that.

I'm working on a Smart Client presentation.

Any other topics that sound interesting to you guys?

Hi,

It's driving me crazy, because I KNOW who you are, but HockeyFan is slipping my memory at the moment.Smiley

You actually need to respond to the other thread. This one is for future meeting ideas.

If you don't see this in time, I'll remember that you rsvp'd at least. You might have to speak up at the meeting though since we take the rsvp list straight from the other thread.

Sincerely,
David Walker

Hey David,

I'd personally love to see an introduction on WCF. I have been curious to the advantageous to using WCF over Web Services. Or, hearing how those two compare to one another. We are hearing more and more about Workflows, as well. Maybe a little something on Workflows, possibly using a little InfoPath. That might be a little SharePoint specific and saving that for a SharePoint meeting might be wiser.

Web Part development is popular, too. But here we are again back into SharePoint's realm. Hmmm... I guess I must have SharePoint on the brain today. Smiley

Talk to you guys later!

- Windows Workflow Foundation.

- Any or all of the following ALT.NET topics: log4net, NUnit, NAnt, NMock & CruiseControl.

Apologies in advance if you've already had a topic and I missed it.

Tnx,
Kirk

Didn't mean to dis' the previous suggestion of WCF; simply meant to add to it.

Also, Enterprise Library. (Is anyone here using it?)

Tnx,
Kirk

Only if others would be interested...

I'd like to learn how to customize the look of standard controls. This would be (1) easy things you can do without 3rd party software, (2) demo/discussion of any free options for such, and (3) demo/discussion of the easiest and/or cheapest and/or best 3rd party software for such. I'd prefer at least half the presentation to be on #1 and somewhat detailed. Items 2 and 3 could be more of an overview/ppt thing.

Just throwing an idea out there.
